It’s a completely different animal the M5 feels like a missile but because I have Mods But the M4 feels so nimble and so balanced compared to the M 5 Feels like a s class shit load of power The M fives definitely more comfortable But the M4 drives play better

Congrats on the purchase. I've been thinking about getting into a M3 or M4 from my 2013 M5. I've recently added H&R springs and rims. Man the H&R springs properly balance the M5 and feel this is how it should come from the company.

congrats on the new car, for a non DD car the best bet is to have something fun.

Interesting swap OP. I sold my 16 M4 comp about 6 months ago just couldnt ever get over the sound and the numb steering. Also as others have stated the comp pack seats are rough on any trip over an hour.
I have an M2C on order but im highly concerned the sound will make me not like it and im looking at alternatives. Crazy enough I started looking at F10 M5 CP yesterday and they are about 15k less than the M2 so I am considering going that route instead. How would you comparing steering feel of the M5 vs the M4? The M4 is a pretty big car itself. When i went back to an e92 it felt tiny and its not small either. Last edited by dmk08; 07-18-2018 at 05:51 AM.. |

I was torn between an M3 CP and an M5. I drove both an opted for the M5. No doubt it's the bigger car having spent 4 years in an F30 but the M5 drives like a 520 when I want it to be docile and a cruise missile when I want to chase the horizon. It's effortless and with much less drama than its smaller 6 cylinder siblings but the Boise from the V8 is orchestral. I love the rumble. Living in the UK, we don't have many big block V8 cars that make that kind of noise. I love the uprated seats, the sunroof, soft close doors, B&O sound - things I couldn't have on an M3/M4. But I can see the attraction for the M3/4 if you prefer more on the limit driving - given the size and mass of the F10.
My advice is drive both before you choose as it's very much personal choice. Though neither is a bad car in any way. |

I have an M5 and my wife a C63.
I hear you on the nimble comments. The smaller cars feel awesome to hammer around town but you cant make then feel like a lounge chair. I dont want to have a car in attack mode 100% of the time. Maybe im getting old - 38 lol |
