No. I deliberately went for a car without it. It doesn't add much power but you do get the larger wheels. As I understand it (not having driven one with the Competition Pack), the ride is noticeably worse. My wife was already not that keen about me buying an M5 to replace my smooth riding C350. I didn't want to make matters worse.

Consider a TrueCar or CG comparison and you will notice this is on the higher side (specially with 37K miles on it and non-6MT).

I also had an e92 335i and always wanted an F10 M5. No regrets with the move up!
Personally wanted(needed) Black on Black with LCI Headlights (AKA had to be 14+), Competition Package & B&O Sound. Took some time before the right one came up but pulled the trigger right away on a 2015 once it came up locally.

CP loved? Not from my side,I didn't pay serious money for an M5 to pay even more extra for a 20% stiffer Porsche like ride.If I want a more sportier ride and steering I adjust to S and SS on the i-drive going back to comfort for town work.
