For those of you who have it, does it still have the track training sessions like the old GT3? Curious - i figure that would be good practice for learning the tracks in the area.

You CAN tune the cars in Prologue, jut not at the beginning of the game. You need to clear a few "stock" events before the tuning option opens up for you.
Game is unbelievably beautiful. On a 1080p TV it has the nicest graphics of any next-generation game I've seen so far. Especially during the replays, which is the closest thing to photo-realistic graphics I've seen.

I was noticing my replays are a little blurry when the car zips past right at the corner of the screen..I have an 8 yr old Toshiba..is this because of my TV? Do i need one of these new flat screen bad boys? |

how is the gameplay though?
is it photorealistic in-game as well or just like any other racing game -- looks awesome in cut scenes but very computerized in gameplay.

I just picked up GT5P yesterday. I headed straight to Gamestop ready to be disappointed but was surprised they had copies I had put a deposit for GT5 since last year and was wondering why they never called me then I realize that GT5P is not exactly GT5.
Anyways, I soon found out GT5P is available for purchase/download online. It took a long time to install the game onto the HDD and the update took even longer but wow, I wasn't disappointed at all. The presentation was astounding, the graphics at 1080p blew me away. I didn't get to play it much, started off with an RX8 and completed some stock events (Class C), but looking forward to this evening when I take out my racing rig

I'm surprised you guys didn't realize this was Prologue, as in a short sample version. Either way, it should give a good basic feel for what GT5 will be like. On the other hand, I decided to use the money as a further down payment on my car, so no PS3 at the moment. Maybe next month or something. |
