New owner and headlight blues

After owning a half dozen BMW's I just might have bought my first nightmare. Just picked up a 2011 F10 550i with 132k miles and looks great and runs fine so I think. I immediately have the lights on the bench and the TMS module on one side is so bad, the shell requires replacement as the TMS receiver is rusted. Can I replace the female connector inside, I think not?

My unit is the 1ZS01013146

FC EURO wants 1K for empty box.....ugg

I found a guy in NJ with two brand new for 1K, just the cases. His PN for the empty Helo shell is 1EL10113121 and looks identical from the pictures. I mean it looks apples-apples. I have pics of both shell part numbers.

Can anyone assist?

I also learned the 4.4 drinks oil like a boozer. I may have the engine pulled and updates applied. That's another story....

I use to own a 2011 550i, fantastic car but I got rid of it with only 55k miles. The first n63 motor has potential to be a nightmare.

Headlights get tricky, I've rebuilt a few high end salvages. It's always a pita trying to mix and match headlight parts. Hard to determine unless you try and rebuilding the housing. Oneighty in Coney Island Brooklyn did a good job with my headlights once.

U can always buy the umnitza f10 replacements for about 2k or I've seen pair of used for 1k…

Good luck

Headlight Blues Update

So two issues resolved thank God and only spent $100.00. Lights are working correctly...OMG

Regarding the Angel Eyes NOT working and having installed a new TMS module into the rusted female connector, I reset the card 5 times to see if I could get a good connection and that must have worked. Yippy...

The high/low beam issue was a bulb so I purchased was a two pack "Torchbeam DIS 6000 HID" and appear to be working. I purchased the two pack for $32.00 to ensure even light intensity. So the cheaper made bulbs do work. I hope they hold up.

These assemblies are specialized and I'm an engineer by trait so I welcomed the challenge but cold here in New England and feet were cold in the garage.
