I stopped in BMW of Louisville today to discuss warranty options. They offered a third party warranty through TWS with a $250 deductible per visit - powertrain, gold, gold plus, and platinum. I have a 2013 M5 with 68k that I picked up for $26k last month from a private seller, and I hate driving this beast around knowing that I could be one mile away from a $35k engine replacement.

Powertrain Only - 3/36 - $4368 4/48 - $4900
Gold - 3/36 - $5600 4/48 - $7150
Gold Plus - 3/36 - $6350 4/48 - $8210
Platinum - 3/36 - $7100 4/48 - $9750

I keep my cars until they die, and I expect there to be normal wear and tear repairs, but the huge powertrain bills are the ones that worry me. After reviewing the brochure and contract, I chose the Powertrain 4/48 at $4900.

I liked the fact that the finance manager said "this company doesn't tell us no". Could be a little bit of a sales pitch, but I'm happy with the purchase.

Hope this helps the community.

Do they cap liability? If so, for what amount?

Just a heads up everyone Delta Auto Protect is a scam, they do not answer any service calls when my dealer tried to call them. Please stay away from them

moejoe there are almost no warranties worth dealing with on these cars anymore. I got scammed into a Patriot Warranty on recommendation from someone here. 2yr/24k mi "bumper-to-bumper" for 4500 on a 13 M6 42k miles. I used them once and they only cover 50% of my dealer's labor rate, and took forEVER to approve repairs. When you call and ask to do a cancellation they never answer, that department is magically always busy, but if you call for a new plan they answer right away. I tried and tried and tried to cancel but no response so I finally had to take it up with my credit card and thankfully after a lengthy process they deemed them fraudulent and gave me a full refund.

Fidelity's pricing is all mileage based, with pricing tiers every 10K miles. Unfortunately at 94K miles, you're in literally the highest mileage based pricing tier Fidelity offers coverage for...

Also high, and that was 3 "yearly adjustments ago"...

Our Fidelity coverage pricing is structured to undercut any dealership, and make it up on volume throughout the various OEM forums we sponsor, Bimmerpost included. We are the lowest priced Fidelity warranty provider that offers customer support post sale. My contact information is below if anyone has any questions or would like to see coverage lengths, pricing, deducible options or an example contract that explains coverage. Repairs accepted at all BMW dealerships or licensed independents in the US/Canada.
