Road Angel review
You probably need one with the growing speed cam threat, found this one that explains it well.

Waze is actually not a R/D but ppl reporting where radar are and also seing mobile units but then waze is ineffective against those.
My snooper warns of motorway traps on gantries and can tell if they are on or off, no r/d or waze can warn you of any mobile units. |

I would argue that Waze is better than a radar detector. Granted, its not perfect, and it won't help you if you are the first person at a mobile site, but a radar/laser detector relies on the gun being pointed at it, at which point it's too late. I guess using both Waze and a detector is the ultimate setup, but if I had to pick one out of the two, Waze would win for me.

Waze looks ok but you depend on someone else to warn you of a 'bear on the ground' with a mobile laser gun. This is all new to me so you get warnings on your phone after you have registered with Waze?

Well well there's 'military grade' tech from this baby at under £50 now to shield your license.

I've been using it a few years and I've never had to report a speed camera, pothole or vehicle in the road someone else has already done it. I simply click the button that says 'Still here' or 'no longer here'. I've just purchased one of the Android auto/carplay boxes to allow full screen apps on the built in display - this makes it even better. The image below is a random small section of the a1, probably half a mile long. You can see 8 other drivers using waze. |

Ok so reading more into it you can pair your phone to your infotainment system'to allow you to use waze, that is if your dash screen allows you to do that, so it won't work on some with screens and older models without screens and you can't look at your phone screen while driving (maybe coming A1 type spy cameras could get you for that).
