Cheap Sound Mods

I just got a 2016 f10 m5 and the stock power for me is enough, but the stock sound is not. What mods can I do to improve the exaust/turbo noises for under 1k? I dont want to tune the car.

Some have cut off the resonators and welded or clamped on X pipe.

If it was me it would be resonator delete, as muffler delete on long trips would be a no.

Mufflers have vacuum operated valves that open up under hard acceleration. Deleting them also requires plugging the vacuum lines.

Bunch more work than a resonator delete.

Cant i just have them cut the mufflers before the valves?

Mine has Competition package. I just keep the valves open all the time. I used zip tie.
Go under the back, and you can flip it open with your hands then tie it open. No mechanical consequences. Sounds better too.

Valves are in the mufflers, so no.

On my car the flaps are clearly after the mufflers.
