Battery/ dive train malfunction

Hello everyone I recently changed the battery on my 13 f10 m5 was good till a week later car goes into limp mode (drive train malfunction) and throwing u122b code car feels like it’s misfiring but no codes for that would not programming the battery correctly would mess the car like that or it’s something completely different. I register the new battery but I feel like the scanner I have didn’t do it right let me know you guys think. Thank you

Forgot to mention that it doesn’t always feel like it’s misfiring it does it sometimes
