Besides technical problems at the start, the bad luck with the pitstop/sc and now having to retire he drove a pretty good race, hunting down BEA.

Waiting for the last 2-3 laps then jump BEA but was not to be, probably battery related at a good guess

Alonso literally taking his hands off the wheel in the straights due to the vibrations. I think Stroll is smart Alonso had to retire when he lost feeling of his hands.
