I've just been told that Vland M5 F10 taillights do not need coding because they have inbuilt decoders, which attach to the body next to the lights.

Interesting, I prefer the stock ones myself.

How’s the light output? I once saw an m3 with aftermarket taillights that could barely be seen.

In the meantime have replaced all the interior lights with low voltage leds and just now the open door bottom ones with the coloured ///M5 reflected to the ground from all 4 doors..some of the old bulbs like the glove box one were extremely hot even too touch so this swap over couldn't have come too soon.
