Smile Bough my first e46 M3

Hey to all,

I am new here. Finally I bought my first m3 e46.

Couple, carbon black metallic with brown leather and smg. 95k miles on the odometer and it is in pretty good condition for a 20+ years old car.

Bought it from a bmw dealership in Seattle Washington and got it delivered to me in Los Angeles. It was fully inspected and I arranged the transportation with http://bruxenauto.com. I paid for enclosed transport service and I had no issues.

The car had 3 owners and a folder with most if not all of the services during its life. The rear frame haven't been reinforced and it's still in good shape, hopefully I won't have to deal with this issue later...

I'll post photos soon

Congrats on yor new baby. I've always like the E46 body style, much less the M3. Looking forward to the photos.

It would've been great to drive it down from Seattle...if you had the opportunity.

I'd do reinforcement preemptively if I planed to keep the car.

Plus double check VANOS bolts and rod bearings. Worth to do them preemptively too

I haven't driven one, just love my E46 325ic, but basically I have come to the conclusion that the E46 M3 is probably one of the most balanced performance cars ever built.

Yes there are faster/prettier/whatever cars but for the money and ease of use it can't be beat. Comfortable but still analog and raw, plenty fast enough for the real world, reasonable and honestly cheap maintenance compared the Italian stuff...

Congrats and enjoy!!!

Agree, I've always felt BMW hit peak 3-series with the E46. Congrats on the M3 OP.

Great find - the E46 coupe looks so good (says the owner of an '06 ZHP coupe! ). Check out https://www.e46fanatics.com/forums/diy-guides.27/ and "E46 M3 The Big Three," for example https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...intenance-work
