As far as I know the p4s only goes to 20s, but it does have a 275/305 combo that works on our cars. |

Yeah...about that. As you two know I do not like spacers. Not one bit. So what did I do? Of course I went ahead and got a set that requires spacers.
I really wanted to do a 20 inch fitment with some great meat tires, but wanted to use an old school performance brand. My last 3 cars have all had wheels built at MHT so it was time for a change. To that end I looked at all available options for our car (not many) and determined that the FI-Rs would best meet my needs. Furthermore with only using spacers in the rear I could still achieve a fitment normally reserved for custom wheels and all steering feel/geometry of the front would not be affected. I'm further mitigating the situation by using Turner Motorsport 12.5 mm spacers with Tikore titanium bolts to ensure everything fits as perfectly as possible while being as light as possible. With that said here are the final specs: BBS FI-Rs in hand brushed gloss clear finish 20 x 9.5 front - et 22 - no spacer - 275/35/20 Michelin P4S 20 x 10.5 rear - et 22.5 - TMS 12.5mm spacer - 305/30/20 Michelin P4S Tikore titanium lug bolts in gloss oem length front spacer length rear Besides look at these things! |

Mod Update:
This update will cover the mods that went on December through March time frame. This will also most likely be my last update for awhile as I bent a rod this past Friday. Plan is to build the engine and get some clutches and turbos. Should be awesome whenever that is accomplished lol... Anyways this past round included the following mods: BBS FI-R hand brushed wheels Eienmann midpipes with cats welded in Fabworx catless downpipes with Swaintech white lightning coating PTP s63 turbo blanket PTF stage 2 tune through their bm3 platform Dinan swaybars Dinan monoballs ECS stainless steel brake lines Powerstop ceramic brake pads Autoteknic cf paddles Mperformance cf steering wheel trim Red start/stop button RKP splitters CSF charge coolers (not installed yet) Basically this round was meant to finish up the build and make the care awesome. Well it definitely did that. Never have I had a car that felt this good in all aspects before. Power was ridiculous, smooth, and strong until a rod was over it, the suspension with the wheels made the whale turn and feel great, and the brakes made no dust along with improved pedal feel. F10 M5 car driving nirvana to me. Loved every second of it. Now that she is dead in the water the show must go on. As such the great save $$$ has commenced. Hopefully will get her going within the year. Logistics in Hawaii are kind of a pain. Thinking either ship the car to California to Carbahn Autoworks or strip and ship the motor/transmission to North Carolina to Bimmer Performnce Center depending on which engine path I decide on. Silver lining is once this is done should have a crazy fast reliable beast. I would be happy with 800 wheel range on pathetic 92 pump since alternative fueling is so $$$ over here. In the mean time here are a bunch of pics from this past round: |

Damn Kimo, I was hoping it wasn't that when we spoke a few days ago. Sorry to hear, I envy your positivity and the build is going to be perfect when it's finished. Good luck buddy and let me know if I can help in anyway

Sir,..you taste in cars is nice! You X5M build is all that and then some. That said,...I see that you have invested heavily in modding your vehicles, of which, some mods are for "show" and some for "go". As you already know, the F10 M5 is plenty fast,..make that,..crazy fast right out of the factory box! This goes the same for your E60 M5,...as well as the X5M. If one were to total of your investment in mods,...I'd guess that your mod investment is probably close,...if not more than the current market price of most e60 M5s. So, after reading your post, I'm surprise that you let you parted with your "Black Beauty" for a possible $2k bill down the road. Essentially, you're pouring hard earned dollars in vehicles that have no issues,....yet you're concerned about a high dollar potential repair bill.
Note, no disrespect, but the reason I presented this is because I just invested in the e60 M5 platform,....a 2010 model year,...and I expect everything to go wrong from bumper to bumper. I've had the car for about 2 weeks,...and have discovered to issues,...of which one will cost some dollars and wrench turning to replace what I hope to be power steering hoses. The other,...the car wouldn't start after pumping gas,...as the radio was on for about 3-4 minutes,...I got a jump start,..had the battery tested,.."Full Charge",...and the car starts fine. I say that to say this,...why not just keep the e60 M5,...buy the F10,...consider those dollars spent as a huge buy-in investment for the F10 and enjoy the e60 on the F10 off days? Best of both worlds! But like you stated,...perhaps it was time to move on.... Edit: Those BBS wheels are "stupid sick"! Daddy likes,....likes a lot!!
