Thanks! Hit up IND. it's an Autoteknic matte clear engine cover. They then stripped the matte clear, painted the mstripes like the new M5 engine cover, and finished with gloss clear.

You could try, but not sure it would work. Luckily there are only 3-5 things left to do after this round. Well, maybe 6-7... Yes I need help. |

Ryan from IND , spoke to him about it but the CF can go yellow and discolour from the heat that the turbos produce , I was told m5guy has turbo blankets so he’s safe. I’m thinking of just painting mine and adding the m stripes.

Yeah like they said I was warned on the yellowing part. However I'm going to be catless, the downpipes have Swaintech white lightning coating, and I'll be using PTP's turbo blanket. So I went for it. Needed something to match my new Eventuri intakes. |

Mod Update:
Eventuri intake, dyno, and random pics of the madhouse workshop... So as you guys know I've been purchasing brown boxes for awhile. Well when the brown box that contained the black box came in, I decided to install it myself so my friend wouldn't have to deal with it. I also wanted to get a baseline dyno with just the Eventuri intake and Eisenmann sport muffler so I could get a delta with the downpipes, midpipes, and stage 2 vf tune after. I removed my RK intake (it is for sale btw, just haven't made the thread yet. 1k shipped) and got to work installing the Eventuri. The Eventuri fit beautifully and has full color instructions available for download from their site. If I could do it any of you could too. As such this will be rather brief. Don't worry though as I took some bad pics for illustrative purposes. For those wondering I just go too paranoid with a front mount intake so decided to switch. That's all. Nothing wrong with the RK intake at all, made nice noises, and seemed to do something so all is good. RK intake removed: Black box: What these next two pics are showing is the monumental pain in the a$$ it was figuring out how to install the oem ducting back into the car. The ducting has to be removed for front mount intakes so I had to reinstall it for use with the Eventuri. One of the reasons why I installed it and not my friend. I decided to switch intakes so my problem lol. Once I figured out the secret they installed super easy. You have to hold the rectangle funnel up and press it against the plastic shroud, which has the oem duct behind it. Then stick you other hand in the duct from the engine side and snap it in to the funnel. It will pop right in. Of course it took forever for my brain to click and figure that out. Once that was done installing the actual intake couldn't be easier. Basically just follow their instructions. Eventuri ducts that attach to the bars and funnel ram air into the oem funnel and ducting: With kidneys back on: Tubes installed along with something else: With that all taken care of it was time for a dyno and then off to the mad workshop where the car is currently resting awaiting the ecu's to return. This was my first dyno and let me tell you, much louder in person than on you tube . Anyways of course I did not know to bring an usb stick so I'll have to do that for the after dyno. They did save these runs for me though so I could add it to the stick. Turns out dynoing a F10 M5 is super easy. 4th gear, all settings sport plus, no ac, no traction control, and keep the doors closed. Can have the hood open though. Did three pulls and I took pics of them in Uncorrected and STD. Smoothing at 5 for both. On the dyno: The graphs. 2016 F10 M5 CP with Eventuri Intake and Eisenman Sport Mufflers: Uncorrected: STD: The following pics are of my friends mad workshop. Currently has a couple NSX's, a Supra, a P-Car, Viper, couple e30 M3s, my old e46 M3, some e36 M3s, and a crazy boosted pandem e30 sitting around in various levels of build and condition. Some are his, others are clients. Did not get pics of all of them. Where my car is resting and the ecu's getting removed: If all goes well should be back up by the end of next week and then dyno sometime around the new year when the car has adapted. Until next time! |

Eventuri looks so clean on the install! Very nice! Did you ever dyno the RF when you had it on? Any thoughts or comparisons to the Eventuri? i.e. sound, butt dyno, etc

Yes sir! Already sold the wheels. Just waiting on the new ones to show up. Going to be running the Michelin P4S in a 275/305 combo. Aiming for the meat flush look this time around. Also expecting better response from this new setup do to weight and the new tires. |
