Long time no update here...
I'm still working on accumulating mods for now, but I did want to mention a couple I did have put on. It all started awhile back on this forum when Lowflight put his gorgeous e-sport up for sale. I mentioned that I would be willing to trade if he ever wanted a black e-race. Turns out another member, GladiatorOwner saw that post and reached out to me. I told him if he purchased Lowflight's muffler I would be willing to trade my e-race for it. Within a few weeks GladiatorOwner had purchased the mufflers and had Lowflight mail them straight to me. I then had them installed and mailed off the e-race right back. It was awesome and a true testament at how good forum members can be. So this is more of a THANK YOU to them and their awesomeness! E-sport So from this: to this: I wanted to get away from the black tips so it was perfect. Plus I did it so when the catless downpipes, midpipes, and tune go on the car it would still be 'tolerable' sound volume wise. Anyways I had the e-sport put on and boy was it quiet compared to the e-race. Had to do something to fix this. Exhaustmeister to the rescue. For you guys new to this forum, a few years ago this device was all the rage for its ability to control the valves via your rear view mirror's homelink buttons. So that's what I did. The magic box: Install is super easy. Moved back the driver side carpet. Used automotive 3m double side tape and placed here: Antenna here: Plugged it into the plugs on the valve you see next to the antenna and attached the ground wire to the bolts the oem used. Simple. Put everything back and programmed the homelink buttons. One for on and one for disabled exhaustmeister. Fired her up and turned it on during the coldstart. Sounded like an e-race again lol, fantastic. Sure you could just wire the valves open, but I feel this is a much more integrated solution. Now it can stay quiet when it needs to, and loud every time else. Basically I only have my valves closed on cold start. I should mention that it either opens the valves or goes back to oem operation. It does not keep the valves closed so no worries there. I know boring update, but the next update should be good. For fun the beast parked at 7-11. The tips match the wheels perfectly. |

Thank you sir! How's your X5M doing?
I used the oem betalink. Crazy stuff too, that spoiler isn't going anywhere and the fit is as flush as it gets. The only negative is that whatever you put on with it is basically a permanent mod. Not sure how a cf piece could survive removal lol... Thanks, I appreciate it! |

she's doing good, at about 74k now, my daily driver
I haven't done many mods in a last 6 months or so, just replaced my front spoiler with M Performance and did scheduled maintenance. I have more ideas as I'm not done with her yet but it will take time I'm trying to take good care of her and so far she's been good to me!
