Good news, the Competition Package can be ordered with any available rims.

Does this mean a return to the older hydraulic steering rack (HPS)? Isn't this a step backward in terms of technology (though a step forward in steering feel)?

Wonder if this admits defeat from BMW that EPS can never match road feedback of HPS. Not good....
Not good? Why? Admitting the EPS sucks is the RIGHT thing to do. Let's all go back to the hydraulic system that BMW has had decades to perfect, and forget this entire electric thing ever happened. God knows it's absolutely useless to save fuel in such a trivial way when the car weight as much as an F10 does and has a twin turbo V8 under the hood.

So is there hardware upgraded in the new steering? Or just programming? Do the pre-LCI m5s have the M servos?

Apparently upgraded bushings. However BMW has also said they have improved the bushings to increase center feel on the regular M5 too.

Getting a pre LCI m5 in June, wonder if you can get those new kidney grills into a pre LCI M5.

My biased because I am missing the LCI model and getting a 2013 opinion:

1-The competition package is way overpriced, would not wanted it anyway
2-Knew the LED lights were coming, I personally don't see the appeal, have the look of cheap country fair lights to me at least when I see it in the Audis
3-The car is 10mm lower. It is 1cm less of snow clearance for New England winters
4-The rims on the pics are very unappealing, the 20's in the 2013 are much nicer IMO.

Sorry if I didnt peruse correctly but is there any mention of the adaptive seats?

I am not of the rotund set up and therefore found my M5 seats to be rather unsport like especially vs my M6 seats which are more involving. Even my non adaptive seats in my 997.2TT, R8 V10, and Black Series are far more aggressive in regards to bolstering.

Sorry to say that you may not have perused correctly. There is no mention of adaptive "adjustable side bolsters" for the American market 2014 F10 M5. So as far as we know we will continue to not get them, which is disappointing. So Europe and the rest of the world will continue to get the adjustable side bolstering seats for the LCI 2014 -2017 Model Year F10 M5's.

They could of at least made adjustable side bolsters as part of the competition package for us Americans. At least this way they could have guaranteed sales of the new Comp Package with the M5! Lol!

I bet yes, if they chose not to introduce the kidney lines on the bumper like in the test mule, Id guess the kidney shapes remain the same since the bumper didnt change. IND should be able to tell us right away. Way I see it, IND is making out, b/c all the pre-LCI guys will be ordering two sets of black grills from them. Maybe IND can even figure out a way to get rid of the stupid M5 emblem in front.

It would be nice for new M5 buyers.. but for current owners I don't think it's worth the upgrade.

I couldn't find this video anywhere on the site and if it's up already, my apologies. This should generate some discussion...

Those wheels look hideous on its own, but seem ok when viewed on the car...
