Tail light malfunction

I've gotten a Rear-Fog Light malfunction warning message before. It turned out to be some sort of gremlin. It went away about an hour later and never came back again. Weird.

I just got this message a couple of days ago. Stayed on for a day and now has disappeared. At the same time, my alarm went off twice after parking the car in my normal fashion. I locked it and about a minute or two later, the car alarm went off. Hasn't done it since. But now my car no longer beeps when I lock/unlock the car with the key fob or when I lock/unlock by touching the door handle. I checked the vehicle settings on idrive and it is still setup to do so.

Odd behavior. My car is coded, but everything else seems to be working fine. I have a service due in 900 miles so I guess I could have them look at it, but by concern is that they will reflash the software negating all my coding. Yes, V12 can do it again, but I'd rather not if I don't have to.

Mine turned off the next time I started the car and I haven't seen it since. Going in for oil service soon and will mention it to them.
