ordering a '16 M4 convertible ED questions!
so I've decided to order a M4 convertible hopefully i can pick it up the last two weeks of the year. I read in other threads that the welt might be close those days? are they still going to deliver cars? and what about the museum and tour?
this is the car i'm ordering. ALPINE WHITE SHAKIR ORANGE/BLACK EXTENDED LEATHER ZEC ZLP DCT CCB 437 WHEELS SIDE AND TOP VIEW CAMERAS With D&H comes out to ED $87,425 OR US $92,595 is the 7% ED discount already applied on the ED price? I'm planning on leasing it 36m 12k miles per year. what kind of numbers should I expect from my dealership. no money down other than the $500 deposit and the $1000 off I have from a bmw event code. |

The 7% discount for ED (2015 orders only) comes from the base MSRP. In your case, it would be a $5173 discount off your total price: $92,595-$5,173 = $87,422. The $87K is what is known as your ED MSRP. You can negotiate down from there
You'll have to talk to your CA regarding Welt pick up days and closures. The most important thing is to secure a production number. Without that, you're not getting any car And you might want to hurry, time is running out to order/pick up a car before EOY. |

In addition to that, the closure will be extended in 2016 from 1/2-2/6 for "renovations". You can not schedule an ED for the days when Welt is closed, thus no EDs from 12/23/15-2/6/16. BMW museum (small) and factory tours are another matter. It is highly likely (do double check) that both will also be closed over the Xmas holidays. Neither should be effected by the Welt renovation activities. Quote:
Some options are discount a bit more than 7%, so the exact discount is higher. However, it will go down with calendar 2016 closer to 5%, so it is in your interest to close the deal with late 2015 production # allocation! Then there is a further ~7% gap between ED MSRP and ED Invoice. Overall, you can target ~14% discount from US MSRP, before you start adding back fees and dealer's profit margins to the transaction price. Do search the pricing threads as there are posts with detailed ED invoice pricing on cars as well as individual options. Quote:
You should be negotiating not ONLY the car price discount, but also fees and production allocation/dates. Without a production allocation # and production week # in 2015 that the dealer is willing to put your name on, you are negotiating thin air and empty promises! a
