2015 M3 residuals. Aug 2014 - Sep 2015 chart

My M3 enters production last week of October and I'm curious what were the residuals last year for Oct/Nov/Dec? I'll be doing PCD in December most likely.

Is there a residual trend based on the time of the year?

It would be interesting to see how residuals changed since the f80/f82 deliveries started. If I had the data, I'd plug it in the excel.

I'm fixing to get an M3 orderd in October. Also curious about December incentives. Assume I would get it until atleast then or even later.

Dug through the 2015 pricing thread to try and find the residuals for the 2015 M3. Got most of them from August 2014 - September 2015. They are listed below.

The 2016 has been 36 months 10k miles 62% since it came out. I wouldn't be surprised to see the residuals stay exactly the same until early next year. However we should get holiday cash and 39 month options in December.

Great data to see compiled like that. It's crazy how much BMW upped the end of model year residuals. When I picked up my 2015 M3 it was 60%, 6 months later the same car was 66%.

It is. That's what makes leasing tricky compared to buying. In your case you're talking a $150/month difference or more with interest. Blanket statements about lease vs buying leave this point out.

I think you'll certainly see residuals increase toward model year end. However you could also see them hold if in fact a comp pack is released and demand spikes as a result. It's really anyone's guess but an increasing residual trend is likely.

Should have clarified better, everything in the code box is for MY2015 M3s to see how their residual changes over a year. You guys are right about the MY2016s being different.

I'm fairly sure the February 15 rates matched those offered in March. I was very nervous when I saw February rates because they were still too far out for me to get locked in on - then they were same for March and I was releived.

If you are dealing with Khoi I don't believe you have anything to worry about.

tell me about it! i should have bought in march and had mine for the summer!

anyways, back in march they were tougher to get allocations and dealers were holding on MSRP pricing. it all equals out one way or another. i wish they shared more on residuals across different months, as well as models to plan ahead
