Yep. Very cool that R8 still has a NA V10. 0-60 in 2.6s is a little excessive, but in the era of Tesla and electric torque that is quite impressive.

I only wish it looked as good as the previous gen. But, oh well.

It's a press car getting lots of use and the bolsters are quite high on that car. My S4 had the same creases.

Actually, the Porsche brigade consists of one member but his persistent onslaught of Porsche propaganda leads you to believe he has an army backing him. Very impressive numbers. I always liked the style of the R8 but performance was always a no go for me. This looks very interesting and I am sure I will test drive it and might have to buy one after 1-2 years of production.

I'm not sure Audi will go for a Twin Turbo V6 in the R8. There were rumors of a 5-cyl engine from the TT RS used for a entry level R8. Other hand, they might also use the V8 in development right now with Porsche.

But how can anyone not like that V10? The only downside is cost/taxes on emissions.

I can't see them putting the ttrs engine in the flag ship model

I had the ttrs before my m3 which was stage 2

I think I'd rather have a 570S. Still a strong performer though and you know you'll be able to strap a set of big turbos on to it and blast into hyperspace if needed.

I can see either engines being a tough sell compared to a V8. 5-cyl from the RS3/TTRS or a 6-cyl from the S4/RS4. Personally, I wish they would just stick to NA V10 only as long as possible.

Side note - How do you like your M3 compared to the TT RS? I drive a TT RS now and am genuinely curious about M3/Cayman.
