Radar-Mirror.com Custom Mirror Display for Escort 9500ci

Hello, I own Radar-Mirror.com and I am also the proud owner of a 2015 M5. We're a new Bimmerpost Sponsor and wanted to take the opportunity introduce our company. I am a long-time BMW owner/enthusiast and what started as a project for my Turbo E46 M3 ending up spawning Radar-Mirror almost 10 years ago.

Custom integrated displays in factory rear view mirrors have been available for years but until recently the only options for performing the modification involved either etching a permanent pattern out of the mirror surface or replacing the glass with a standard two way mirror that required losing the auto dimming feature, a compromise few were willing to accept.

Radar-Mirror.com has spent years developing and perfecting a process to offer vehicle owners the best of both worlds... a custom transflective (two way) mirror that eliminates the need to etch an undesirable pattern out of your mirror and preserves the auto dimming feature. Advanced features such as Homelink and High Beam Assist will also operate normally.

The Escort 9500ci comes standard with a Blue LED Display. We can convert the display to Red upon request, which is a better fit for the BMW interior IMO.

We have all BMW mirrors in stock available for core exchange. Radar-Mirror.com is an Authorized Escort and Beltronics Dealer. More information is available one our website at www.radar-mirror.com

Please feel free to contact me via PM, email at scott@radar-mirror.com or by phone 972-571-7427.

I have a Valentine 1, Will this work with one of those?
Where would the actually radar detector go if the mirror itself has it built in?

Sorry confused at what this actually is.

Yes we support the Valentine 1 as well. The radar unit is not installed inside the mirror, only the display. The best place to hide the V1 in a M5 is inside the rear center headrest. We have examples of common V1 configurations posted here http://www.radar-mirror.com/V1_Example.html

Very sleek idea. I assume signal isn't degraded from being in the rear headrest?

I personally have my Escort 9500CI display in my mirror and it's the best decision I've ever made. I wish I went red as it does match the interior better.

I'll try to capture pictures when I get home Monday.

All of the Radar bands will operate normally. Laser alerts will be disabled, which aren't really effective anyway since there is little to no advance warning. If you see a lot of laser where you drive we recommend adding a laser jammer - laser jamming is standard equipment with the 9500ci.
