M5 intake and charge pipes compatibility
Hello everyone, I just picked up my 16 x5m and I was wondering if the bms intake and charge pipes are compatible from the m5? I emailed Ando at burger but he was unsure if it will work but said it should since it's a TU motor.
Any help would be appreciated on this. |

I would doubt it. I believe a couple companies are working on the charge pipes for the X5M, not the intakes.
Just 2 thoughts: The OEM X5M intakes are very efficient and well designed as discovered by iND. The OEM charge pipes failure have not been reported by any X5M owners. (Unless you plan on Pure Turbos and tune, the factory pipes will hold) With that, not sure what values would intakes and charge pipes gain? I would save the cash for tune and DPs. Dollar for dollar, that would get you the most gains and sound. http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1119273

@Cuturass , the intake off the M5, if it do fit, my guess it would only fit on the engine side. While on the air filter end, the location of the box and the design is different between the M5 and the X5M.
While the chargepipe, unless you are planning to do meth injection or much2 higher boost, it is very unlikely that the chargepipe will break on the N63/N63tu/S63tu engines.
