F80 Competition Pack Ordered!

Hi all!

Thanks for welcoming me into your ///M Community with open arms when deciding on my final build. All of the advice and suggestions went a long way! While this may be my first ever BMW, our family is not new to the brand. We've been driving them for almost 40 years. When my mother was pregnant with me, she fell asleep behind the wheel of her E39 5 Series and hit a truck on the highway which totaled the car... Everyone walked away without a scratch, except somehow the airbag must've hit her hard enough to spark my insane love of BMW. In my middle school days, I have fond memories of flying around in the back seat of my Dad's E60 M5 when he would use launch control or kick the back end out for fun. BMWs have always been something really special to me... More than just a car, almost a member of the family.

I have had 3 MINIs since I got my license... A highly modified Countryman, a Classic Mini (right hand drive to boot!), and a rather rare MINI R56 GPII. While I love my MINIs, and will probably hold onto the Countryman for as long as I can, it's time to make the jump up to something a bit more serious than the GP... A F80 M3.

The build list is as follows:

Alpine White
Full Silverstone Leather
Carbon Fiber Trim (almost went Fineline Anthracite Wood but at the last minute changed my mind to CF)
Manual
M Carbon Ceramic Brakes
Competition Package
Executive Package
Drivers Assistance Plus
Lighting Package
Moonroof
Enhanced USB + Bluetooth

[IMG][/IMG]

I ordered the car with Sarem at Prestige BMW, this is a photo of me taking an awkward selfie at his desk while he went to photocopy some items...

[IMG][/IMG]

I wanted to pick up the car in Munich but since I am an employee I would have had to give up my insane employee discount... Hopefully they'll approve it for at least Performance Center Delivery!

I look forward to keeping you all updated on the tracking process! Can't wait to take delivery, get it out of break in period, and start ripping up some tracks across the U.S. and Canada!

Happy Motoring
Kyle

Congrats and welcome!

You cant go wrong with the CF on the interior, it looks great. I dont think I have ever seen Alpine white on Silverstone....really looking forward to seeing some pictures!

Other than that, looks like you are fully loaded. Any particular reason why you went with the Moonroof vs CF roof?

Yup! While I do love and appreciate the CF roof, the weight savings wasn't too important to me... This is still a heavy 3 series and weighs a ton more than my GP. On top of that, I usually drive everywhere with the sunroof open... It's a must have feature for me in an every day car. I'll end up wrapping the roof black because I love the look of the darker roof for contrast.

Currently BMW is giving just over $6k plus full dealer contribution bringing the car down to cost. Plus the $1k option credit. Almost $14k off sticker.

Nice build...can't wait to see pics of full silver stone one white. You should reconsider the carbon roof. It is one of the best features. I stare at it every time I walk up to the car.
Stick your head out the window if you need fresh air.
Congrats!

Quick Update... Status just flipped into 112. Called a friend at BMW AG and he said he expects it to be a week 9 production. That's not too far from now! Exciting times.

Silverstone full leather looks awesome with the CF trim. I'm biased but you will be happy

Lol! Truth... I really wanted Mexico Blue Individual but couldn't justify the $5k price when I could just wrap it and protect the original paint... But that probably won't happen as I'm taking delivery with all of the plastic on the car and driving it straight to my go-to detailing company where they will clear bra the bumper, hood, front quarter panels, paint correct and ceramic coat the rest of the car.
