f10 M5 and Window Tint
Hey all. Picking up a 2014 M5 soon. BSM and it looks like the windows are tinted already. The owner says he never had them done and given that the car is black on black in Texas, I am hoping to have a ceramic tint to block the heat installed. Do these cars come tinted from the factory? Thanks!

The problem with most ceramics is that they don't give a true black look when reflecting light outside the vehicle. I had mine done with Huper Optik and absolutely hated it in direct sunlight. The windows looked blue.
I ended up going with Suntek XP18 on the sides, back and sunroof. Huper Optik ceramic 50 on the windshield. No argument about heat rejection on ceramic films, but looks are too important to me to have blue, reflective properties in my window tint. Good luck. Brad

It's possible it was tinted at the dealer. You can tell by rolling the windows down and looking at he edges
Dallas here and I agree tint is a must. Limo for me all the way around

US Cars are not tinted from factory - wish they were.
I had mine tinted. Came in a little darker than I would have liked (did a 25%). Wish I had done 35%. Don't have enough time to go back and re-tint. Wish I did though.
