2016 X5 M Lease Quote - Current Rebates

I am working with a dealer in NJ on a lease for a 2016 X5 M. I am trying to confirm if the Winter Adder and Options Allowance rebates can be locked-in on an ordered car that will not be delivered before the end of the February 2016.

The build I am looking for is not available and I would like to order the exact car I want but the dealer is telling me the rebates cannot be locked in. The salesman did not seem so sure though and I would like to confirm either way.

There is also a loyalty rebate that appears to be available until 3/31/2016 but the dealer is telling me this only applies until the end of the month also.

It seems like the dealer and salesmen are just pushing me to purchase before the end of the month so they can make a sale.

Any input is appreciated.

The last time I checked, rebates were not able to be locked-in. What was available when signing the purchase/delivery paperwork was what one received. With BMW Financial, rates can be locked in for a total of 60 days prior to the date of purchase.

The BMW Loyalty Rebate of 2@500 payments expires does expire at the end of the month.

Other rebates aside, if you can negotiate a 10+ percent discount you will be in a win column!
Jan/Feb is probably the slowest time for car dealers and a good time to get sales. You might not get as gd of a deal in March.

Do these rebates even apply to the X5M?

I met with my friend yesterday who's a GM of a BMW dealership. He told me option discounts/credits can be locked, but rebates cannot be locked.

I wasn't aware BMW changed the ability to lock any of them for longer than 60 days. Once one has a production number the options discounts/credits get locked to the vehicle. Rebates are whatever is available within 60 days of signing the paperwork.

Yes. I got the X5M and M4 in January and got both rebates.

Correct. Discounts are given by the dealer and can be locked in so long as the dealer is still willing to give you the discounts :-)

Rebates are from BMW or BMFS depending on rebate, which are only applicable during the time of final paperwork signing which is normally during vehicle delivery.
