F15 and F85 body is so similar, you can pretty much use that photo as reference to what your X5M will look like. I say do it!

You might want to consider Suntek PPF-M or Xpel Stealth. They will do a much better job at giving you a nice satin finish of your actual donington grey color. They also have better durability and quality than vinyl wraps in my opinion. Powerbeast did something similar to his before he sold his X5M for his new M5. I'm not sure what brand he used. I would go that route. Trust me on this. I've been through the ordeal of wrapping and have seen other wrapped vehicles since.

I agree with opasha. I had my X5M wrapped professionally with Suntek PPF and LOVE it. As mentioned, it really brings out the amazing color of Donington Grey even more. The key is to locate someone in your area that is an authorized installer. It is meticulous work but when done right, it's amazing looking and will help protect your X5 in those problem areas.
Here are some pics of mine. Best of luck! |

I agree with opasha. Even though I'm not a fan of the frozen look (still reminds me of primer), if I'd do it, I'd go the Stealth route.

I was thinking of the same wrap, and here is the best option for the grey color I found
http://www.6post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1233731 http://www.6post.com/forums/showthre...1233731&page=2 But if I were you I would really consider clear satin wrap |

I missed the boat on wrapping my car clear with XPEL (the best), and now it's stone chip city - particularly the sides behind the front wheels and rear arches. So I'm looking at wrapping my entire car matte/frozen grey or black. I'll enjoy the Carbon Black for a little while longer though before looking into this seriously. I say go for it though.
