Officially Old
Pull up next to E92 M3 and tell kid in his twenties 'nice car, I just sold mine for this, I loved the E92'. He says 'thanks, my dad wants one of those'. Ouch.

Hmmmm
The last time I heard that gentleman racer phrase was from a salesman who sold me a BMW 1200S that I couldn't dismount after 300miles. I could also not feel my hands from the elbows down or straighten my back for a good half hour. I bought it in the autumn and sold it in the spring, with 300 miles on the clock.

Me too. First car was a very old, not really running 5-series I bought with money earned roofing and fixing computers and I've been a 5-series guy ever since (last new car was also an F10). Always preferred the style and amenities over the 3-series - and how I'm always looking out the rear window when I check my blind spot (have owned every generation 5-series since the E28) since BMW has been remarkably consistent with exterior/interior proportions over the years.
