Which Reverse Lamp?

Does anyone know what type of lamp is used for the reverse lamp?
I have a 2014 M5. The owner manual tells me it's a 16-watt bulb, W16W

However, when I access the lamp on my car, it's a bayonet type lamp.
Anyone else experiencing this? Strange that the manual is wrong.

Top photo is a W16W lamp for reference (doesn't matter if LED or incandescent)
Bottom photo is what I have (looks more like an H21W)

You sure you pulled out the right bulb? I have the W16W

I may be wrong here but I believe mid-year 2014 there was a switch. There's another guy that had the same issue and found a bayonet type LED. Search for it.

That looks like the rear fog lamp you have pulled, not the reverse lamp

I just went through the same thing. There was a switch alright. I ordered the correct bulbs off amazon. Search for f30 lci led reverse bulbs and it should pop up. They fit great, but required coding. I used the mycarly app to code them and all is well.
