Cleaning and maintaining perforated seats
What products do you recommend to clean and condition perforated seats? I don’t want to clog up the holes. Probably also as important, what application method? Wondering if their is a spray type product?
I’m used to solid leather seats and just gooped on cleaner with a small rag. Probably not the right approach here. Oh, to top it off I have the white / ivory seats and they definitely need some TLC. Thanks |

I'm in for answers as well! I just bought a 2013 M5 with Silverstone interior. It's in decent shape but needs some leather cleaning and then conditioning as time goes on.
On my current M5 (a 2000) I use a product called Leather Stuff. It smells good and seems to work Ok. Before I go using the same stuff (no pun intended) I'd like to hear what others have used. |

I used Sonax Leather Foam cleaner with a Leather Brush. Then top if off with Sonax Leather Care Cream. Not sticky and leaves a Matte finish.

Is anybody out there using Chemical Guys leather cleaner, conditioner, and serum on the perforated portion of the seats? I'm close to buying a 2013 M5 with champagne interior.

Recently treated my merino leather and steering wheel with a non expensive leather cleaner and restorer cream combined and well worth it resulting in a more supple feel. When doing the steer wheel avoid putting the cream on the coloured M thread.

avoid hitting the holes in the leather, do not spray directly into any part of perforated seats. spray the cleaner into a microfiber and apply that way, you will never get it out of the holes once its in there.
also, you'd benefit from doing this in the sun, or at least plug in a charger for your battery and run the heated seated, it will open the leather up some and allow more conditioner to be soaked into the leather. with the steering wheel, same thing, spray into a microfiber and clean, DO NOT hit the stitching on the wheel with the cleaner, it will discolor, and look like snit over time. |
