Installing battery tender quick disconnect wire

I assume I should pull the neg terminal from the battery when I install the tender cable under the hood.

My question is will I run into any issues when re-hooking up the battery? I know when you change a battery it's supposed to be recoded.

Anything besides the radio presets I'll have to redo?

Just trying to avoid any surprises.

no need to re-do radio either. when you install quick disconnect wire under the hood, you don't have to disconnect battery.
