How to safely remove trunk liner?

Got a small half inch shallow dent on my driver side quarter panel.

Spoke to a local pdr and says he can go from behind through the trunk or tail light but wont know til he sees it first hand

I'm super ocd and would like to remove the trunk liner myself to expose the area prior to going to him so I know it is taken out properly.

Liner looks super fragile and dont want to pull too hard and crease it

Thanks in advance

It's outlined in this DIY thread:

In summary - it's not hard as long as you don't yank on it. The liner is pretty robust.

Thanks. I pulled the tail light out but definitely no opening to quarter. I pulled the liner on the left side to be greated with more liner..jeez.

If the dent is small and shallow, you should be able to get it out by just pulling, using a PDR kit yourself. With no prior experience, I pulled a dent out of my passenger side panel. It was small and shallow, but afterwards it completely went away (after 3-4 pulls). Got the kit from Amazon and took me no more than 10 minutes.

Let the PDR guy do his job - they know how to get behind panels because they do it every day.

Pdr guy was amazing not only did he get the one dent out..he found 3 others that I couldn't even see..what a great eye that guy had. He got right beyond the quarter panel in 30 seconds. Done in 40 minutes . No waves and absolutely perfect. What an artform. Wouldnt mind learning that..especially his minimum change is 140 and I was 1 of 10 cars that day.

He said pushing the dent out is better then a glue pull as of you pull there is a chance of ml multiple high spots that you have to tap into place
