Finally found a reasonable way to get wireless Apple CarPlay (or Android Auto) in my M4 with the NBT Headunit!

What about Android Auto? Is it just a different option in the menu? Good stuff, keep it coming, I might do this.

Yeah, if you look at the setup screen the second or third icon was for android auto.

Do you have 2gb ram or 4gb. Wondering if NBT EVO and 2 gb is enough to run CarPlay like some of the 2016 F8x id4

Done it on many 2GB EVOs and all of them are working fine

Heard Navi can cause reboots

I never use BMW's Navi. Can CarPlay maps also cause reboots? Or are people referring to the bmw I drive Navi

I just installed it, two things: Waze doesn't work it says that it has to be ran once on the phone but I've used plenty, crashes instantly when I try to open it on the phone. I can't get sound out of Google maps navigation

Did you buy the same one I did from the same seller? If so what did he say? Curious about the support they offer. Mine is working great.

Same seller. I haven't contacted them yet, I literally just got done putting things back together. I didn't go through the glovebox, everything fit under the head unit.

Sean (the seller) emailed me back with his phone number and said it's better to call, I'll give him a ring tomorrow if I can't figure this out.

One thing that I don't like and didn't know about until today was that Android Auto doesn't play nice with Google Assistant's routines, no more long press of the mic button to say a phrase and have the batcave light up and open up when I arrive home at night...

I'm thinking about uninstalling tbh. It connected seamlessly ONCE, other times I had to turn BT off and back on, not what I expect from something like this
