My car was 2015 aug production car pre LCI 80 M3, what i have?

And whats the advantage to upgrade?

You won't be happy. It needs to be coded to your car to work properly.

Also, if you're thinking of carplay, you need a WiFi antenna

I bought a id6 unit online and had it coded, with carplay, and retrofitted onto my 2016. So I know what you're going through

Make sure you get an nbt-evo with 4gb of ram

understood, trying to understand what would happen first if i just plug it in?
