Fix Speed MPH

I changed tire size and the speedometer is way off. Is it possible to solve this?

I don't think so. If there's a way, doing so will enable everyone to effectively trick the odometer

What are the benefits of tricking a speedometer? I can only think of negatives.

Tricking the odometer not speedometer. Say if you are running stock size and you calibrate the speedo to reflect larger wheels and tires you can effectively save miles shown on the odometer

I get that. I know the dealer can flash it for different tire sizes. They told me they don't have anything comparable to my size though. I'm wondering if there is a way to do a custom size, or perhaps to use a size from a different vehicle.

First time I've heard of this - I've used wider tires with smaller sidewall section(35 vs. 40, etc.), but diameter has stayed roughly the same and no correction necessary.

What tire sizes are you running that it's that much off? There are modules you can buy to wire into the car to calibrate the odometer but haven't seen anyone do it on these cars cars. Usually older ones without the electric intricacies newer cars tend to have.

295/30-18 front and 315/30-18 rear. I believe it is nearly two inches shorter. The tires are clearly smaller than stock to the naked eye.

BMW's are known to be ~3 mph off. What's yours showing?

Yes, it's always been a few off, but now it is several. The difference is greater at high speed.
