Dealer programming To latest Idrive

Going in for service and want to get my Idrive 5.0 to have latest update. If the dealer does this, will other programming on the car (not related to Idrive) be overwritten? I had coding done for headlights and seats moving back.

all coding is erased. my seat memory was cleared and my mirrors no longer folded.

the dealer cannot only update the iDrive / HU. The dealer software only allows a full i-step upgrade for all ECUs in the car. Therefore, all specific coding will be reverted to the vehicle standards.

iDrive 5 and iDrive 6 differs in coding ONLY. These will NEVER be able to update to iDrive 7 as this is different hardware. The only advantage of updated iDrive 5/6 is Full Screen CarPlay possibility.
