Help! Axle output shaft install

Looking to get some guidance on removing and replacing the output shafts both left & right. Do I need to utilize the special bmw tools to pull out the shafts from the differential and then also to install? Or will prying it out and then sliding in the new one be ok without the special tools.

Yes there is a newtis guide but it doesnt help when it is only utilizing bmw tools for removing and installing the shafts. I know theres shops doing these repairs and not utilizing the specialty just want some tips with it from someone who has done it.

The main BMW " specific" tool is the puller. You can use a three claw puller to remove the hub from what I remember.
