Requesting low fuel pressure sensor replacement guide

An electrical wiring check tutorial would also be greatly appreciated.

This request is to address a persistent fault code 119202 (Fuel pressure sensor; electrical: Short to ground) which has come on everyday for 3-months now.

I notice the S55's layout underneath the air-to-water intercooler is very similar to that of the N55 (recently did a HPFP upgrade on that motor) but not sure if a coolant flush is necessary or not. And also presume the coolant reservoir for the intercooler is separate from regular coolant reservoir for the engine.

Thank you in advance!

There is information available from NEW TIS. The link below gives information on the low pressure sensor (which are in one unit).

See if you can get the information here https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f...ressure+sensor
good luck

Replaced the sensor. Really painful to get to but solved the issue once and for all.

Could you please give me info on where this sensor is located? Maybe a couple of pictures. I just got the code and plan on replacing myself. TIA

Tom,

I’m having the same issue on my m4. Any chance you could give us some info on how to access it?

That site newtis is gone.

Thanks!

You will need to remove everything down to the intake manifold in order to access the low pressure fuel sensor. So imagine doing spark plugs on the S55 + top mount water intercooler removal + intake manifold removal. Then of course, reassembly.

As previously mentioned above, you will have to remove everything in the engine bay all the way down to the intake manifold to reach the HPFP.
