Vossen HF-5
Hello all,
I recently ordered a set of Vossen HF-5 in Anthracite for my new to me AW F10 M5. At the recommendation of Vossen I ordered: 20 x 9.5 et 25 20 x 11 et 30 I am also awaiting a set of H&R Sport springs. With these sizes I am looking at running 275/35-20 on the fronts and debating 305 or 315 in the rear. Is there any worries of rubbing with a 315? TIA for the info! |

Well technically I don't think anyone is running a 325 rear tire on a 20 inch wheel/rim.
I've ran a 325 but on a 21 x 11.5 wheel. The offset was designed for a 315 or 325 tire. It sounds like you're fishing for a tire size after you've ordered the wheels. The first step will be to design a wheel and offset to work with the tire size you desire. Every wheel manufacturer is different and some offsets may not work for your specific application. Especially when talking about lowering as well. So if Vossen says a 315 will work, then it should. However you might want to check which tire manufacturers are making a 315/30/20 tire. Toyo makes the 888r but it has a specific application and that's laying down traction in a straight line. It starts to fail at lateral stability and please don't try to drive in the rain. If I were you, I'd stick with a 275 front / 305 rear set up on a Michelin PS4. You'll get plenty of grip in a straight line and around the corners. Just my 2 cents. |
