Tyre/ Spacer - confusion.
Hi guys,
I had a 2016 M5 F10 non comp. Originally lowered by me on H&R, with spacers all around 12mm. Tyres oem spec and size. It would sometimes very rarely rub on the driver side, UK that is. - Anyhow I have changed to Michelin MP4S N0 Porsche rated tyres 265/305 rear. Front is fine, rear with 12mm spacers was too much, they stuck too far out. So I removed the spacers, still using the longer bolts, didn't see an issue, but the passenger side rear is rubbing from the inner really really bad. But cant see any marks. Is this because these are Porsche rated tyres? Extra wide? I would of thought without a spacer on the rear it would be fine, but its clearly not. So I can only put it down to the wrong tyres? After doing some research, I've come to the conclusion: Buy normal Michelin MP4S XL tyres and use 12mm spacers front and 10mm rear and all should be resolved? I will use the existing new Porsche tyres on my GTR as same fitment. Worst part is, I had an M5 before, but forgot the configuration I had! I can only think that porsche fitment tyres are cause of all issues??? Please advise. Thanks Harry |

Looks like Porsche NO tyres are the problem, different sidewall and tread config.
Standard 305/30/20 PS4S with no numbers are the ones to fit which I have on mine with no spacers. |
