Air filter screw holes don't hold up.

Anyone here still running factory air filter box and having issues with screw holes that don't tighten anymore?
I'm trying to find the best solution rather than remounting the after market cold air.

Obviously overtightened big time previously, find next size up or two similar shape screws and it should take up the slack if the heads clear the wall.

It doesn't take much to enlarge the plastic thread.
Found a ez-lock from from home depot that I'll try.

Got the ez-lock installed and now I feel the repair is close to perfect.
Now I can help my son's e90 cabin filter cover with same issue.
Just thought I share this in case it's helpful to someone out there.

It's spark plug boot heat shields, used to protect from hot headers running between the plugs. Very easy to find.
Got the idea when I used to race with Chevy muscle cars I had, Camaro, Chevelle, Nova II.

Not a fan of buying those flaking silver covers from bmw.

Just got 8 of those exact hose heat covers from e-b, now I need those screw less slim click lock hose clips that BMW fit with the tool to fit them. Can't get them anywhere so a trip to the Bm parts man needed.

That's great, I belive they're called single ear hose clamp. Check your local hardware stores, they often carry them as well.
