Car Bra
I am in Florida, which has lots of bugs on the highways (I am near the water so there are not too many bugs where I am). I mostly want it for long distance trips on highways. My car (on order) is a 135i convert. I have ordered silver and was thinking a BLACK bra might look good.
Has anyone added a FRONT CAR BRA? If so, from where.....what was the cost? Post pictures if you can. I have never installed or used a car bra so any tips would be great. THANKS. |

I'd just go with a clear bra like ventureshield or 3m.. and get some bug & tar remover. It's hardly noticeable and it's always there to protect against rock chips. Real bras can micromar your paint.

We're going to have to wait for the removable bras
I have called several manufacturers. All the removable bras are custom ordered based on demand. Once there is demand, they make the template and manufacture the bra. One company in SoCal was willing to custom make one for our SUV, but the timing was too close for our trip so I am doing the clear bra thing. I was quoted ~$575 for a 1 convertible. That is for front hood, bumper, side fenders, mirrors, and lights. Not sure I'm going to do it because I have the Safe Lease thing which will pay for up to $5000 in damage to the car on lease return.

I'm using the 3M paint protection film which is cut to suit the car. Looks great and does a VERY good job of keeping crap off the car! I'm considering going back and getting more of my side skirts done and perhaps the entire rear bumper it's that good!
on AW there is a slight color diff if you really look close, but the film looks good if you maintain it with Plexus cleaner and wax as per usual. Def recommended from me! |

That black bra is brutal!! The only time I could see wanting one of those is if I was forced (at gun point) to do an hour or two on a gravel road...

That's rubbish. You're dealer is spinning you shit. Thicker does not mean better and I HIGHLY doubt you can get a better film than 3M
Ask your dealer what film it is, and how thick it is? All 3M films come with warranty. |
