M5 F10 smoke coming out of Exhaust
Hi everyone,
I’ve noticed that when I cold start my car, there’s smoke coming out of the exhaust that smells like gasoline. Can also see the smoke when stopped at traffic lights. researching, I found that it could be due to the valve stem seals, PCV tube, or even the head gasket. When I checked the PCV valve hose, this is what it looked like []. I’ve already bought a replacement part from a helpful chap in this group. Do you think replacing this will solve the smoke issue? Or should I be looking into something else? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks! |

My next chain of thought is if smoke out of exhaust and fuel smell may then mean a turbo seal is gone. Check if seperate intercooler reservoir level is fine to cool the turbos after engine is switched off, the small motor should click in to run coolant through the turbos. What oil and grade do you use..
