Does anyone know exactly what this part that broke off is and if there may be possible/further issue because of it?

Hello!

Recently been having a lot of trouble recently with my F10. I took the plastic cover off to inspect my coolant lines (which was leaking), but then I also noticed that right behind the intake elbow, there were what looks like a sensor that has broken off.

What exactly are these for? And is there a replacement holder/bracket for it?

In the first few pictures, the circled red is where it should be connected, but is hanging off entirely. From what I can find online, would this be the o2 sensor location? I am also having trouble with a bunch of surging/bucking under acceleration and I get the code for crankshaft sensor.

Does anyone have a few suggestions?

That black cylindrical part has broken off and you are correct pointing out the pre-cat lambda oxygen sensor, 2 of them, and the grey covered wire leads to that from the broken off part.
You can try super glueing it back on though with the tremendous heat there it would probably come back off again so maybe lashing it back on with some wire is all I can suggest.

* Oh and get some CRC spray cleaner and give both your MAF's a good clean allowing plenty time to dry and see how you go then.
