1M discount off MRSP in Canada

I was able to get 2% off, anyone else able to get something higher than 2% off MRSP? Assuming a lease deal.

They don't even have lease rates or residual values. Unless you are paying cash, you are still in the dark in terms of your monthly payment.

Just found out that there will only be 17 1M's sold in Canada.

Pricey too, compared with the US...given the above-par dollar. Sigh.

I'm impressed that you were able to get any discount off MSRP. I talked to a few dealers in the GTA area and they wouldnt budge off the MSRP. Congrats on your purchase!

Allotment for all of Canada is 17...first-come first-served, regardless of where. Dealers can't order in inventory without a sales contract.

My dealer alone in Toronto has at least 5 allocations, based on that I believe there will be more than 17 in all of Canada.

Im thinking more like 17 per month not total! Although CA allocation is upto 220 apparently, so even that doesn't really add up

ZIPINBYE is correct in his general statement. As of now, the only way you can get the car is to sign off on the actual sales contract with non refundable deposit($5000CDN in my case). After that the signed contract is faxed to BMW Canada and BMW Canada requests a production slot from BMW AG in Germany (May in my case). Frst come first served. As I was explained, dealerships can not get floor models of 1M and BMW AG would not accept a "cooked up contract" like in the past. So far they stand by the decision to make it hard to get. As of now they only going to build as many as they sold. It may change of course. Forgive me if I am very sceptical about statementslike "My dealership is getting six 1Ms in May...."
Number 17? I did not hear anything about it.

I have the production number already; 14th week production.
There are 4 cars ahead of me at the dealership, one of which is a friend of mine, so I can confirm that he has a production number as well.
And no one at my dealership has had to pay anything even close to $5000.
And everything for us is refundable.

So I don't know where you guys are getting your information, that or your dealer is f'in with you.

What are the monthly payments looking at for lease roughly? I'm on my 2nd year of my lease and with all this 1M news got me all excited for early planning. I also got the 370z, Sti Sedan, or E86 Z4 M coupe on mind.
