DIY: N54 Injector Coding Via INPA

I wrote this a while back for the E90post crew, but I think this will do a lot of good here as well:

Step 1: Download the zip: http://199.192.200.202/N54-Injector-Coding.zip
Step 2: Download the PDF: http://199.192.200.202/DIY-N54-Injector-Coding.pdf
Step 3: Follow the instructions in PDF.

Does this also contain all the DATEN files in NCEXPERT? (could I use this, for example, to code the alarm module?)

The DATEN files for NCSExpert are only updated for E90 platform. For all other platforms, you would have to update the files. I did not do this because I have no way of testing them. I have only 1 car (E90) and it would be impossible to test.

The .zip file contains everything you need to start coding your E90 with NCSExpert.

Followed this stuff to the "T". and when i select msd80 i get an error saying "error compiling script file".

am i missing some sort of files from the download zip you gave?

EDIT: figured out my problem. was using the shortcut in the DIY that says to create "INPA.EXE" to desktop. It should be the "INPALOAD.exe" file instead. That needs updated in your PDF...

just fyi, theres lotsa confusing outdated stuff in the PDF at the top of the list. Had to follow a different DIY cause i was getting issues non stop for a few days now.

figured out one of my many problems was not puting a ";" ... seriously!! please update the DIY here.


IF any of you decide to do this .. use the DIY inside the zip folder not the PDF here. it will save you alot of time.

Search on google bmw injector coding, there I saw easy diy using DIS

P.S that DIY was for e46 320d but I think it will be same for N54

Yep, I see it and you are correct. This was just an oversight on my behalf. I'll update the PDF ASAP.

I have everything download. I got to code my injectors and after f9 on system diagnosis. There is no spot to click for the injector setting? I believe it's shift f4. But it's not there for me it's gone.? Please help.
