Axleback + downpipes + stock midpipe

Hey everybody... anybody running downpipes and an axleback without an upgraded midpipe? I got one of the first Maddad Street Series axlebacks back in 2010 which I love. Since then I haven't had time to think about more upgrades till now but I just ordered some AR downpipes (and a JB4 )and I'm trying to decide if I should get a midpipe to install with the downpipes. I know it's gonna be LOUD either way but just thought I'd see if anyone had any opinions. Would the $600 for a midpipe be better spent another way?

Yes. That's my setup right now. I may just cut out my resonator and mid cats instead of dropping the 600 dollars on mids. Itll be essentially the same thing.

Usually the ID on the aftermarket midpipes are slightly bigger.

I had AR catted DPs, stock mids, and Berk axle back. I wanted a louder/deeper tone so I added Berk resonated mids. Perfect now imo. I would go ahead and do it since you have catless DPs and Maddad axleback. You won't regret it

Thanks for the input guys... Thinking about it more and looking at some pics of the stock midpipe it doesn't look as horribly restrictive as some other stock exhausts I've seen, and as far as installs go it doesn't get much easier than a midpipe, so I think I'll see how it sounds with the DPs before I pull the trigger. Also thinking the noise level even with the stock midpipe will adequately piss off the neighbors

Now on to deciding between coilovers and an LSD...

Coilovers, absolutely. I'm running STs and have been very happy with blend of added handling but comfortable road manners. Not the most aggressive set out there, but unless you're tracking a lot, you will appreciate the comfort they afford.

My setup exactly, 3" catless downpipes with stock N54 mids, and Berk Race. It's Loud, but surprisingly not insanely loud. I kinda want it louder now. Definitely loud outside of the car, but not that loud inside. I love windows down and WOT in 2nd and throw it into third under bridges and such. So much awesomeness. I LOVE IT.

Edit: I'm also considering cutting out the stock mid cats amd resonator as well.

I just got it done. Sounds great when you are on it. But it's brutally loud. I think my neighbors think I'm the proud new owner of a jet!

The car is low so pics are tough. But I have two videos I'll upload tomorrow morning. The videos don't do it justice. And my final thoughts are I freaking love it!!! It's much more raspy than it was before. It just sounds angry.

I like it, especially the 1st and 2nd video. I may have to do it soon. Did you actually have them cut out or did you gut them? I'm curious on what you did to the resonator on the rear mainly. Thank you.
