OEM Clutch Longevity

Just wondering what kind of mileage people are seeing out of their OEM clutch, both stock and with mods? I'm talking about daily driving and the odd lap day - drag racing's a different scenario. I know that driving style has a lot to do with it, but driving style being constant, I'm just trying to get a sense of whether the usual mods are significantly shortening the OEM unit's life.

I just hit 90k miles on mine, its very highly tuned over 400 at the crank, 5-6 track days and 5-6 autocrosses a year and my first clutch is just starting to go.

They last great if not abused.

I just swapped my stock clutch out at 56K to put in an aftermarket unit and the tech told me the stocker had another 15-20K in it. I drive pretty hard so it's hard to complain with ~70K mile life.

Sounds like the stocker is pretty robust. Good to know.

In my experience with many BMWs, the clutch has always been one of the strongest parts of the car.

Are you going to do the CDV delete?
