Cobb dyno numbers and tune question

Just got back from a dyno day. Car is stock except for the Cobb AP, and pulled 305 HP and 335 TQ on a mustang dyno. Pull was in 3rd gear. Previous pull in 4th gear resulted in much lower numbers.

Oddly, I did a pull using the Sport tune, and followed in with a pull with the Aggressive tune. Numbers and dyno graph are almost identical, with no performance bump noticeable. Running the aggressive tune, it actually detected some detonation up top and backed it off. Shouldn't I be seeing better numbers (especially torque) with the aggressive tune? Btw, running 93 octane.

TIA.

Sounds pretty much spot on for stg1 aggressive on a mustang.

I've seen all sorts of dyno numbers for this tune. More curious about why I'm not seeing a difference between the sport and aggressive tunes....

too many variables. should you have seen higher numbers? yea, probably.

stock intercooler? heat soaked motor from back to back pulls? etc?

I know on my last car when I had my COBB AP that when i changes maps it took the car idling 5 minutes and then another 5 minutes of easy driving to get use to the new settings. My buddy owned a mustang dyno and I was a beta tester for cobb so I had many, many hours on the dyno for them. could be the same case with you. not sure.

I wouldnt stress about it that much.

Should have pulled in 4th gear too...... that is the right way to do it.

He did pull in 4th.......but the numbers see around what a Mustang would put out. Remember, Mustang dyno's show lower than any other dyno out there. If you want to raise your spirits, go try a Dynojet.

First pull was in 4th with the Aggressive tune... both numbers WAY under 300 (don't have print-out). Second pull was in 4th using Sport tune--same low numbers.
Third pull was Aggressive in 3rd gear, which got the 305/335. Fourth pull was in Sport tune in 3th gear with almost identical numbers and chart to pull #3.

FWIW--this car pulled 314/363 on Cobb's own dyno when the previous owner tested it last year. Assuming Cobb has a Dynojet and pulled in 3rd gear, the numbers are pretty close when you factor in the presumed 12% lower reading you get from Mustang dynos.

I need to see if it in fact takes 10 minutes of driving for the new tunes to "take".

That has you anywhere from 330 to as high as 350 hp on a dynojet. Not bad. I would say closer to the high 330hp mark. With you mods, or lack there of, that seems about right.
