Need input on tune/Vishnu PROcede

So I've been "out" of the car scene for awhile, just enjoying my car and not spending any money on it. Life has been good. Lately though, I've been getting the itch to mod my car again and with a decent tax return (~$1k) I'm thinking "why not?"

My dilemma is that I'm really not sure what the best bang for my buck really is. My friend recommended the Vishnu PROcede, so I've been kinda set on that. I've seen so many different versions and prices though, I just don't know what to get or where to buy it from.

Procedetuning.com doesn't specify what version it is, and its $745.
Link: http://procedetuning.com/BMW/n54/tuner/tuner.html

**********s.com tells me exactly what version it is, which I'm assuming is the latest, and its $945.
Link: http://www.**********s.com/Vishnu-PR...-335i-535i.htm

Can anyone give any input on this? I've got a 2008 135i automatic with just an injen dual short ram intake. It's my daily driver, I just want a bit more fun out of it.

Thanks!

If you are wanting to use the most of that $1000, you could do a JB4 and 3" Catless VRSF downpipes, both of those would total to about 900$, or you could pick up a Cobb AP for around 800$ I believe. Those are the two things I would look into and go with one of those routes. Can't help you much on the Procede though, sorry.

I had a Cobb APv2 on my 08 STI, I really liked how simple/plug'n'play it was, didn't realize they made one for the 135i.

Is it much simpler to install/use than the PROcede? Do I need to access the ECU under the hood, or does the 135i version plug into the OBDII port as well?

The AP installs through the OBD ll connector.

I'll definitely look into it. Did you do the downpipes at the same time as your axleback or separately? I'm curious how much it affects the loudness/sound of the car, Fairfax police are pretty anal about noise.

By the way, I want your car. Blue, manual, and those rims are perfect.

Try and snag a axleback on the for sale section of this site. I got my Berk Race for 320$ shipped from a dude on here. The Berk Street would probably be a good fit for you.

I have procede but ive heard Cobb is great so you should be set (with the procede you're going to have to open up the ECU box and attach the procede to the ecu..easy but still)

Congrats on your purchase. I'd suggest an aftermarket FMIC or catless downpipes whenever you get bored of the tune only, so you can switch to a higher map and enjoy your car even more.

Ahh... Well, this is the first car I've had that wasn't a manual and I really wish I had DCT (almost as much as I wish I had a manual trans).

I'm coming from an 05 STI (sedan) and an 08 STI (hatch), I miss the AWD... Though RWD is tons of fun too, so I can't really complain.
