Help with p3 boost gauge
Okay so I got the p3 boost gauge, everything is good and I have no problems with the install. I am just trying to figure out whether or not I can use the green wire for the auto dimmer to tap my map sensor in order to get accurate boost reading.
I have a Jb4, N55 engine, and I received the most enhanced version of the boost gauge, so everything is easy plug and play...thanks to Rick ...so my question is, does it matter which wire I use on the harness? As long as I use one of them to tap the map sensor on the Jb4, or do I have to use the blue one to tap the map sensor? Because the blue wire is too short to reach into the engine bay and the green wire looks long enough to reach. Thanks in advance for any help. |

You'll need to get a wire tap and some wire and a quick disconnect from radio shack. We plan to have a more plug and play option for that soon since there are quite a few people that use the gauge on n55 with a piggyback. If you need more details feel free to hit me up at rick@p3cars.com -Rick |

I believe Rick just cleared that problem up for us, thank you Rick .
And you use the blue wire from the boost gauge to tap the brown wire on the Jb4 harness, which is the second sensor from the right........http://support.p3cars.com/attachment...me=harness.jpg here is a link to a picture of the wire you need to tap in order to get the correct reading for boost . |
