JB+ and BMS DCI a good combo?
I've had the JB+ in my car for awhile and have been pretty happy with the moderate power gain that I got from it. I took it out recently for a visit to the dealer because I didn't want to have any warranty issues (I know... I know..). Anyway, I was getting ready to reinstall it and started thinking that if I have to remove the stock airbox (which is a PITA IMO), why not put in a new intake at the same time? My car is otherwise stock and I have no plans to mod it any further at this time. Anyone else running this combo (JB+ and DCI)? Is it worth doing for $100, or do I really need a more significant tune to really benefit from a new intake?

I had a JB+ and BMS DCI combo for a good year and a half. Works great, and it's much easier to install and uninstall the JB+ with the DCI.

Why would you ask that? My car is minimally tuned (some don't consider the JB+ a tune at all) and there is information out there that a DCI on a stock car may not be a good thing to do. There is lots of info out there from people with DCI's and full tunes, but not the JB+/DCI combo. I don't see the problem with the question. |
